Sustainable Advocacy

Overview: The most passionate DEI advocates are often at risk of burnout, re-traumatisation or vicarious trauma. To keep their efforts sustainable, it is essential to develop resilience skills and coping mechanisms. Drawing on research in psychology and sociology, as well our own experiences of working in DEI, this skills-based training equips participants with strategies to increase self-awareness, understand personal limitations, set boundaries and proactively self-care.

Who for: Anyone trying to promote DEI in their organisation - advocates, allies DEI council/committee, etc.)

Duration: 3 hours

Goals:

  1. Develop resilience skills and coping mechanisms to sustain DEI efforts.
