Disability Awareness

Overview: In this interactive online workshop, UNLRN’s Disability Lead Samantha Renke will give you an honest breakdown of how disability is viewed in modern society (including media stereotypes and workplace barriers). Drawing on her own experiences, Samantha will explain the mechanisms and effects of ableism, guide you through practical disability allyship strategies, and give you a thorough breakdown of what is and what is not disability inclusive language. After all, disability is not a dirty word.

Duration: 1.5 hour keynote or 3 hours interactive workshop
